We are now seeking to appoint a Lead Practitioner in science to support and challenge us and our school leaders through the next stage of improvement and growth.

Kings Heath Secondary School is a maintained 11- 16 school with seven forms of entry.
We are seeking an exceptional and experienced science teacher to join our dedicated and talented team as a Lead Practitioner. In this role, you will help to inspire our committed and supportive staff, modelling and leading the improvement of teaching skills to raise student achievement across all groups and narrow any gaps in attainment. Students at Kings Heath love science and we want to harness this with more exceptional teaching and opportunities for our students.
We have a thriving science department with fully equipped brand new labs, excellent GCSE results and a dedicated science technician. We have a flourishing teaching and learning group that staff are welcome to apply to join. Our CPD and induction package is excellent, with many staff enrolled on NPQs and courses through the Chartered College of Teaching. This post comes with the opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction of science across the school, the opportunity to work at whole school level, alongside strong opportunities for development and progression. There are also many opportunities to collaborate and develop through the South Area Network and our challenge partner links.
