Job summary

Sidney Stringer Academy in Coventry invites applications for a Lead Practitioner for Science to drive outstanding teaching and learning. You will shape curriculum design and lead literacy initiatives, supporting students across phases and schools within the Trust.

The role requires QTS or equivalent, a degree in a relevant subject, and a track record of improving student outcomes through evidence-based teaching and rigorous assessment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent qualification.
• Degree in a relevant subject.
• Experience teaching KS3 & KS4 (and KS5 if applicable).
• Proven ability to deliver teaching strategies that lead to excellent pupil outcomes.
• Advanced ability to assess, evaluate, and monitor progress with actionable appraisals.
• High-level classroom observation skills with actionable feedback.
