We are looking for an enthusiastic and professional Lead Practitioner of English to join our existing English team.

As Lead Practitioner for English, you will work to improve the quality of teaching and learning within English generally and support the development of teaching and learning across the academy. About you - Lead Practitioner for English:

The successful Lead Practitioner for English candidate will be an expert in English and have a proven track record of successful outcomes, as well as a keen interest in developing the practices of colleagues to further strengthen teaching and learning of the faculty.

We are looking for a Lead Practitioner for English candidate who is:


  • A creative, inspirational and well-qualified teacher with outstanding subject knowledge.
  • Able to drive continuous improvement in teaching and learning within the subject, raising standards and ensuring student achievement is maximised.
  • Have knowledge of the current educational landscape, government initiatives, OFSTED requirements and implications for academy direction.
  • Confident in the use of systems and data tracking.
  • Able to effectively communication with students, parents and staff.
  • Keen to make a difference to the education of our students.
