Location: Watford

Salary:Above Leadership Practitioners Fringe Scale L7 – L11 £57,979.00 - £63,888.00
Job Type: Full Time

Start Date: April or September 2025

Contract Type: Permanent Contract Term: TTO - Term time only Hours per Week: 32.50 Weeks per year

Thank you for your interest in this role. As a Lead Practitioner - English, you will have a unique opportunity to shape and elevate teaching and learning. By modelling and sharing best practices, you will inspire and develop fellow educators, fostering excellence across the department.

In this Lead Practitioner - English role, you will work closely with the school’s leadership team to drive up teaching standards and enhance student outcomes. Your expertise, as a Lead Practitioner – English, will contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring that all students receive the highest quality education.

We are a forward thinking, innovative school who support our teachers and their wellbeing. Therefore, we have already put in place the following promises:

  • Additional PPA (four per week)
  • No formal or grade lesson observations – we trust our teachers!
  • No written entry data reports
  • Only two formal assessment a year which require data entry
  • Whole class feedback – limited or no written marking
  • No covering other classes
