The Lighthouse Group Practice is recruiting a Lead Practice Nurse to lead the nursing team at its inner-city GP surgery. The role provides clinical leadership, mentors nurses through one-to-one reviews and oversees infection prevention and control across the practice.

Applicants need current NMC registration and at least three years' post-registration experience, two of them in primary care. Leadership or postgraduate qualification in long-term condition management is desirable.

Qualifications

• Current NMC registered nurse.
• At least 3 years post-registration experience, with 2 in primary care.

Responsabilités

• Provide clinical leadership and support to the nursing team.
• Mentor nurses through one-to-one reviews for professional development.
• Deliver clinical care across chronic disease management, immunisations, wound care, and health promotion.
• Oversee infection prevention and control within the practice.
• Develop and review clinical protocols, pathways, and policies.
• Lead or contribute to audits, quality improvement and clinical governance.
• Collaborate with GPs, healthcare assistants and staff to deliver patient-centred care.
• Help shape services including long-term condition management and preventive care.
