Tria have partnered with a well-established company operating in the leisure and tourism industry, to hire a Lead Platform/DevOps Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis.

The Lead Platform Engineer will take responsibility for deploying, configuring, and operating IT Infrastructure platforms. They will also be responsible for leading the planning, implementation and optimisation of the technologies and processes used to maintain Infrastructure platforms.

The position will have a 50/50 emphasis on the technical work, as well as leadership, through up-skilling the team. You will be leading a team of 3 staff and be tasked with helping them to up-skill with the DevOps stack (Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD etc.).

The team do not yet have these DevOps methodologies widely adopted, so they require this person to ensure optimum implementation and adoption into the team through mentorship.

They require someone with the following skills:

• Experience with automation platforms, Ansible, Terraform, Puppet or Chef.
• Cloud technologies - AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Worked extensively with Kubernetes.
• Experience with Agile ways of working, Kanban and Scrum.
• Worked with Vmware vSphere, Nutanix or Hyper V virtualisation platforms.
• Experience with Microsoft or Linux operating systems.
• Experience in team leadership/mentoring.
