Qualifications

• Experience with Ansible, Terraform, Puppet or Chef.
• Extensive experience with AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Strong background in Kubernetes.
• Familiar with Kanban and Scrum practices.
• Experience in virtualization platforms like Vmware vSphere, Nutanix or Hyper V.

Responsibilities

An industry leading UK business currently seeking a Lead Platform Engineer crucial in supporting technological direction and nurturing a high-performing team. As Lead Platform Engineer you be responsible for deploying, configuring, and operating IT Infrastructure platforms.

Responsibilities include:

• Investigate & manage the adoption of tools, techniques, and processes (including automation) for the management of systems and services.
• Lead, guide & mentor a team of engineers acting as an escalation point for colleagues across the Tech department.
• Ensure that operational procedures and documentation are fit for purpose and kept up to date. Ensuring that operational issues are identified, recorded, monitored, & resolved!

Requirements:

• Experience with automation platforms, Ansible, Terraform, Puppet or Chef.
• Experience of Cloud technologies - AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Worked extensively with Kubernetes
• Experienced within Agile ways of working, Kanban and Scrum.
• Experience of Vmware vSphere, Nutanix or Hyper V virtualisation platforms.
• Experience in Microsoft or Linux operating systems
