Our client – a powerhouse in the project controls and planning consultancy space – is looking for a Lead Planning Engineer to take the reins on a multi-million-pound scheme based out of Milton Keynes. ️ Your Mission

  • Build and manage fully integrated schedules using Primavera P6 and cutting-edge tools.
  • Lead the definition of the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and all work packages.
  • Drive the integration of design, procurement, and construction activities into one seamless project roadmap.
  • Conduct delay analyses and craft robust mitigation strategies.
  • Own and deliver Earned Value Management reporting and planning.
  • Facilitate planning sessions and resolve cross-discipline conflicts before they become roadblocks.
  • Provide proactive schedule risk assessments using tools like Primavera Risk Analysis.
  • Act as the key liaison between client teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders.

What You Bring

  • A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar.
  • A proven track record as a Planning Engineer in rail, infrastructure, aviation, defence, civils, nuclear, or utilities.
  • Expertise in Primavera P6, MS Project, and the tools that make complex schedules work in the real world.
  • Clear communication, problem-solving instincts, and the ability to lead in high-pressure environments.
