Job description

Join to apply for the Lead Planning Engineer PSC role at Wood.

Wood is recruiting for a Senior or Lead Planning Engineer to join our team in Reading on an agency basis. The role supports our energy transition and conventional energy projects and offers flexible/hybrid working.

Responsibilities:

  1. Act as Planning focal point for specific project scopes.
  2. Review and maintain planning control structures aligned with the project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
  3. Maintain baseline project plans and schedules using appropriate software.
  4. Monitor and control planning activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  5. Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and third parties to track project activities and their impact on schedules and manpower.
  6. Analyze and distribute project plans, schedules, and progress reports as required.
  7. Review updates to project plans, schedules, and manpower requirements.
  8. Assess and communicate schedule impacts of change notifications.
  9. Monitor overall project progress, milestones, and performance against plans.
  10. Participate in project meetings and liaise with cost teams for budget control and forecasting.
  11. Participate in schedule risk analysis and project controls reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in planning and scheduling.
  • Proficiency with project controls and scheduling tools.
  • Knowledge of spreadsheets and databases.
  • Strong team collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
