Join our market-leading planning team on a hybrid basis from any of ERM’s 16 UK offices. You will work on innovative projects in decarbonisation (hydrogen, CCUS), renewable energy (solar, onshore and offshore wind, hydrogen, battery storage), and mining sectors, supporting the low carbon energy transition. Notable projects include our own concept and Equinor’s H2H Saltend Blue Hydrogen project.
You will manage a range of planning regimes (including NSIP/DCO, TCPA, s36 in Scotland, and DNS in Wales), leading the planning team through various projects and deliverables that help clients meet their objectives sustainably and safely. Collaborating with our EIA and Project Management teams, you will also contribute to the preparation of EIAs and consenting applications, supported by our environmental specialists. Additionally, you will lead business development efforts and mentor junior team members.

You will have a relevant Town Planning degree, experience in similar roles with a focus on DCOs, and be Licentiate/RTPI (or equivalent) qualified. An understanding of EIA and multidisciplinary planning projects is essential, with Scottish planning and consenting experience being a must. Experience in consultancy and renewables is preferred but not essential.
