Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Lead Planner (Project Controls) to steer planning and scheduling across major programmes. You will lead the planning function, mentor planning professionals, and ensure robust integrated schedules across the project lifecycle.

You will collaborate with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to drive effective programme controls, schedule health, and delivery outcomes with strong governance and reporting.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering planning and scheduling on major projects.
• Strong knowledge of planning principles and scheduling methodologies.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and other planning tools.
• Excellent communication and leadership, mentoring planners.
• Eligible for BPSS clearance and degree in relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning across a portfolio of major programmes, aligning with client objectives and project requirements.
• Mentor Planning professionals, coach and develop a high-performing team.
• Develop, review and maintain integrated project schedules with robust methodologies and governance.
• Act as lead planning resource for client engagements, advising on strategy and performance.
• Establish planning standards, processes and best practices for consistency and accuracy.
• Lead baseline development, progress measurement, change control, and reporting.
• Identify risks and mitigate with recovery actions; coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Produce planning dashboards and present performance metrics to stakeholders.
• Support planning workshops and stakeholder engagement to align programme objectives.
• Integrate planning outputs with cost, risk and performance management.
