Job summary

Fortrea's Clinical Research Unit in Leeds seeks a Senior Clinical Research Physician to lead Phase I studies from start-up to closeout, serving as Principal Investigator or Project Physician. You will collaborate with nursing, pharmacy, laboratory and regulatory teams to ensure patient safety and study integrity.

You will join a network of Fortrea's Phase I units across the UK and US, contributing to multi-site trials with MHRA-accredited facilities and strong NHS collaborations.

Qualifications

• PI experience in Phase I trials at an early-phase unit

Responsibilities

• Lead studies from start-up through closeout and the Clinical Study Report as PI or Project Physician
• Review protocols and Investigator Brochures, assess feasibility and support MHRA submissions
• Collaborate with Fortrea teams including Med Sci, Project Management, Regulatory, Clinical Operations, Nursing and Pharmacy
• Ensure studies are conducted according to protocol and ICH-GCP across all clinical activities
• Mentor less experienced colleagues and represent Fortrea at conferences and industry groups
