Job summary

Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Lead Pharmacy Technician - Specialist Services to lead a professional team within community-based care. The role focuses on medicines safety, governance and expenditure monitoring to drive efficiencies and ensure adherence to formularies.

Following integration plans with Medway Community Healthcare in 2026, the post may involve changes aligned with the Neighbourhood Model.

• Responsible for monitoring medicines expenditure and identifying efficiencies.
• Support services with medicines supply and adherence to formularies.
• Develop and enforce Patient Group Directions, protocols, policies and SOPs.

Please note: at this stage, the role is open only to colleagues currently employed within Kent and Medway NHS Trusts, the Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board (ICB) and Medway Community Healthcare or working on the Staff Bank within these organisations. • Medicines safety and governance - Incident Reports (DATIX), Medicines Management Audit, Controlled Drugs
• Medicines expenditure monitoring andanalysis
• Supporting services with medicines supply, adherence to formularies and identifying efficiencies
• Patient Group Directions, Protocols, Policies and SOPs.

Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust is due to integrate with Medway Community Healthcare on 1 October 2026.
