Job summary

St George's, Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals and Health Group is seeking a Lead Pharmacist - ePMA and Clinical Informatics to shape the development and management of our electronic prescribing and medicines administration system.

The role leads IT programmes related to medicines optimisation, manages pharmacy catalogue updates, and develops policies for Clinical Informatics in Medicines Optimisation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation and ongoing management of clinical IT programmes with a focus on medicines optimisation.
• Lead on the installation, configuration and testing of regular pharmacy catalogue updates to include new medicines.
• Lead the development and implementation of policies and procedures relevant to Clinical Informatics in Medicines Optimisation.
• Lead all aspects of quality assuring IT software and systems relating to ePMA, including reports, audits and addressing deficiencies or risks.
• Lead and advise on IT and Clinical Informatics components of future technology developments within pharmacy.
• Be a team leader and arrange training of pharmacy staff to ensure competency.
