Job summary

Guy's and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated Principal Pharmacist to lead the Clinical Trials pharmacy service across the CRDC. The post holder will drive safe, timely trial setup and high-quality care throughout the research cycle, working with sponsors, investigators and NHS partners.

You will provide expert guidance on trial feasibility, oversee studies, strengthen governance, manage resources, and mentor staff, audits and inspections across the Trust and wider

Qualifications

• Lead the delivery and development of the Clinical Trials pharmacy service.
• Provide specialist advice on trial feasibility and study setup.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and robust governance.
• Develop staff through training and mentoring.
• Contribute to audits, inspections and shared learning across the Trust and wider research network.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of the Clinical Trials pharmacy service across the CRDC.
• Oversee review, approval and setup of studies; ensure safe systems for management and supply of clinical trial medicines.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and contribute to audits, monitoring visits and inspections.
• Work with pharmacy colleagues, research teams, investigators and sponsors to support timely trial delivery and shared learning.
• Provide staff training, coaching and mentoring to deliver high-quality service.
