Our Client

Having closed a monster round from top-tier investors based on solid traction, our client is now moving from start-up into high-growth tech scale-up. This company has an interesting business model operationally, and they are expanding internationally! We're exclusively retained to build their People Team!

Role

A new (and exciting!) stand-alone role we’re seeking an experienced Snr/Lead level People Partner (HRBP) to support our rapidly expanding teams (and newly created ones!) as we expand our customer reach in the UK and internationally. Your role is to align business outcomes with talent and people initiatives, ensuring that our people decisions align with our high-performance culture and company direction.

The role will require a very collaborative person who proactively works across the business. You’ll need to be confident talking to all levels to execute the company’s ‘People’ priorities. You’ll be hands-on and versatile to work on a range of People matters. One day you may be working on HR initiatives or supporting an employee matter, to advising leaders on things like performance. Collaborating with others, you’ll promote a fair and compliant culture and support both the teams and the business's needs.

Within the People & Talent Team (TA, and there is someone in People Ops), you’ll help others with the administrative and operational needs of the People department to ensure the efficient running of People programs and services.

This role will suit an experienced HRBP/People Manager/or Head of People.

Responsibilities

  • Act as advisor, sparring partner, and coach to our Co-Founders and Leaders on all things People.
  • Build from scratch internal infrastructure and guidance, from our performance/promotion philosophy, company handbook, levelling structure, talent/promotion planning, and equipping leaders with insights to make decisions.
  • Lead on internal communication planning for any company-wide changes/announcements.
  • Lead employee relations matters, mitigating disruption to team performance and ensuring speed to resolution. Hold retros with leaders and iterate on training and guidance to build manager compliance and fluency on people-related matters.
  • Build a data-centric culture in the People Team, surfacing insights to our leaders so they can make better-informed people decisions. Identify any People issues or trends and work with the right people to find a solution.
  • Ensure HR/People processes and internal controls are executed with consistency and accuracy.
  • Support wider People team projects and support day-to-day administrative and operational HR/People Team needs when required.
  • Support the company (and Talent team) on evolving and elevating the company's employer value proposition.
  • Role model company values and champion best practices.

Requirements

·Experienced and confident in a stand-alone People role as either a People Leader or Snr HRBP/People Partner.

·Experience working with Co-Founders and Snr Leaders on People matters is a must.

·Experience in a high-growth start-up/scale-up and their organisational and talent needs is a must.

·Excellent knowledge and experience with Employee Relations Matters (UK a must, international a bonus), leading on the resolution with leaders independently and end-to-end (and/or liaising with external legal advisors), and able to balance employee advocacy with the well-being of the company.

·Excellent knowledge of best practice in the employee lifecycle from hiring, offers, onboarding, probation, performance, to exit.

·Track record in change management initiatives, new process/framework creation, and communication planning for successful roll-out.

·Experience in handling onboarding and the performance review process.

Below is desirable:

·Experience in a highly operational business (not an 'app' company).

·Experience with Reward/Total Rewards

·Experience in both remote and hybrid working environments

·Experienced in a regulated environment
