Job summary

Hampshire and Isle of Wight NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a compassionate Peer Coordinator for its Community Mental Health Teams. You will lead a team of Peer Support Workers, using your lived experience to drive recovery, empowerment and person‑centred care.

The role focuses on supervision, development, and ensuring lived experience remains central to how services are delivered. You will support recruitment, induction, and wellbeing, while advocating for continuous improvement of peer support

• Have personal lived experience of mental health challenges and recovery.
• Experience in mentoring, supervising, or leading others.
• Commitment to recovery‑focused, person‑centred care.

Responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day leadership, support, and supervision to Peer Support Workers.
• Support recruitment, induction, development and wellbeing of Peer Support Workers.
• Promote recovery, empowerment and person‑centred approaches to care.
• Help develop peer support services and ensure lived experience informs service development.
• Coordinate and support the Peer Support Team across localities.
