Job summary

Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust in Lowestoft is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join the Dragonfly Unit and help lead inpatient care for children, young people and families. You will be supported by a multidisciplinary therapy team and supervised by senior colleagues.

The role focuses on recovery, CAMHS considerations, attachment and development, and working systemically to support independent living skills and vocational goals through holistic care.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, young people and families in a clinical setting.
• CAMHS experience would be welcome; knowledge of attachment and child development is beneficial.
• Ability to work systemically within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct inpatient ward routines and activities for service users and staff.
• Assess occupational and vocational needs to develop independent living skills and work towards recovery goals.
• Provide support to the multidisciplinary inpatient team and contribute to service development bridging inpatient and community services.
