Job summary

Aramark UK is hiring a Pastry Sous Chef to join the team at the Warner Bros Leavesden studio tour. The role requires managing pastry kitchen operations, developing menus with the Head Chef, and ensuring top-quality presentation and service to guests, while meeting safety and GP targets.

You'll lead, coach and develop a large kitchen crew in a high-volume, dynamic environment. The position offers a permanent contract with 45 hours per week across evenings and weekends, with uniform, on-site

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a sous chef or senior chef de partie in a high-volume restaurant environment.
• Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of current food trends.
• Experience in food preparation and recipe development.
• Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Experience in managing and developing large teams.
• Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Level 2 NVQ diploma in professional cookery.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in developing menus and creating innovative dishes that are visually appealing and delicious.
• Oversee food preparation, presentation, and delivery to ensure high-quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards, completing all necessary documentation.
• Monitor food inventory levels and complete food orders to ensure efficient kitchen operations, including stock control, rotation, wastage control, and GP targets.
• Lead a team in The Studio Tour, Hospitality and Events.
• Coach, develop and motivate the team to meet targets and development needs.
• Lead by example with a strong work ethic and excellence.
• Step in to oversee kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef.
