Job summary

HCRG Care Group is seeking a Consultant Paediatrician to lead community paediatrics across Wiltshire and B&NES. You will deliver clinics, assess a broad range of paediatric concerns, and contribute to MDT care alongside safeguarding responsibilities.

The role requires GMC registration, MRCPCH or equivalent, and CCT or near completion, with on-call duties and teaching commitments within a supportive team in Bath and Wiltshire.

Qualifications

• UK recognised medical degree
• Current full GMC registration
• Must be on the specialist register or within six months of obtaining CCT
• MRCPCH/MRCP or equivalent
• 2 years higher specialist training in community paediatrics or equivalent
• Experience in child protection assessment (level 3 training)
• Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams and participate in on-call rota

Responsibilities

• Deliver community paediatric clinics assessing children with health, development or educational concerns.
• Complete reports and administration within departmental guidance.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary assessment and management.
• Support teaching and supervision of trainees and students.
• Liaise with health professionals for coordinated care.
• Participate in safeguarding on-call rota.
