Job summary

Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Advanced Speech and Language Therapist to coordinate community clinic caseloads within the Paediatric Speech and Language Therapy Team in South Staffordshire. The role is a 25.5 hour fixed-term post based primarily in Cannock, with travel to Lichfield/Barton and supervision of junior staff.

The post offers leadership responsibilities across the service, with opportunities to supervise, mentor and support staff, and to contribute to service

Qualifications

• Significant experience in assessing and managing children with speech, language and communication needs.
• Experience leading clinical audit within a specialist area.
• Experience of providing supervision and appraisals to staff.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and develop the service for children with speech, language and communication needs.
• Lead and advise Health commissioners on SLT needs.
• Attend planning and service development meetings for children as requested.
• Carry out staff appraisals and supervise team members including new staff.
• Support induction processes and mentor colleagues.
