You will work under the ward Manager/Matron, assist with staff development, and ensure high standards of clinical documentation and patient safety in line with Trust policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist with management of the nursing team under the direction of the ward Manager/Matron.
• Communicate proactively with staff on the clinical condition and treatment plan of patients; ensure accurate nursing records are maintained by all staff.
• Participate in clinical training including teaching and supervision of new staff, unqualified staff and student nurses in the ward environment.
• Ensure work with the Trust/unit and ward policies to maintain professional, clinical and patient safety.
