Job summary

CarmichaelUK is looking for a Package Manager to join the team for the London Power Tunnels project. You will oversee the delivery team during pre-construction, construction, and subsequent phases, ensuring staff allocation based on skills and experience, and providing clear leadership on site.

You will manage resources across Labour, Plant, Subcontractors and Materials, while ensuring compliance with quality, environmental and health & safety procedures and legislation.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or NVQ Level 5 or degree in a relevant field.
• Safety training such as SMSTS or TSTS is preferred.
• 5+ years in project management of major engineering projects.
• Understanding of forecasting, budgeting and commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Overall management of a delivery team across pre-construction, construction and post-phase.
• Allocate staff to tasks based on experience and skills; provide leadership to site team.
• Manage construction resources: labour, plant, subcontractors and materials.
• Ensure compliance with quality, environmental and H&S procedures.
• Plan and deliver works safely and sustainably; liaise with design/technical teams.
• Identify issues and resolve them, manage risk and opportunities.
• Review and sign off documentation; ensure contract requirements are met.
• Lead risk management, action plans and realization plans.
• Maintain effective communication with client and stakeholders.
• Monitor project controls information and report performance transparently.
• Ensure budget adherence and cost control; manage temporary works docs.
