Qualifications

  • Substantial professional experience as an outdoor instructor.
  • Experience leading practical outdoor activities independently.
  • Ability to plan and manage full activity days.
  • Experience working with children and young people.
  • Ability to support theory lessons alongside practical delivery.
  • Willingness to work across the College’s full age range 3–18.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality practical Outdoor and Adventure Education.
  • Lead activities with pupils across 3–18 age range.
  • Adapt activities and delivery to pupils’ development levels.
  • Lead expeditions and Duke of Edinburgh’s Award activities.
  • Assist with classroom‑based and theory lessons connected to the outdoor curriculum.
  • Ensure safety, risk management and environment stewardship.
