Job summary

Elysium Healthcare Limited seeks a Lead Occupational Therapist for Emerald Place in Charlwood, Surrey, to manage the OT service in a 12-bed adolescent inpatient unit and drive patient-focused interventions for young people with mental health needs.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team, plan and evaluate therapeutic activities, and contribute to wider service development with CPD opportunities and regional professional support.

Qualifications

• Qualified and registered Occupational Therapist.
• At least 3 years post-qualifying experience.
• Experience with psychometrics and risk assessment tools.
• Ability to work therapeutically with young people to develop insight and coping skills.
• Experience in conducting OT assessments for complex MH needs.
• Experience leading and supervising a team.
• Hold a full and clean UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Participate fully with the multidisciplinary team and engage service users in their care pathway.
• Manage and coordinate implementation of individual OT treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records of rehabilitation progress.
• Ensure effective management of occupational therapy assistants.
• Provide clinical guidance and staff training to the team.
• Assess admissions and prioritise patient needs; deliver individual or group interventions.
• Develop living skills, rehabilitation, and educational opportunities under senior management direction.
