Job summary

Buffet King in Gateshead is seeking an experienced chef to support the chef manager and head chefs, ensuring high standards of quality and timely food preparation. You will monitor stock, follow budgets, and adjust recipes to meet customer requests.

Qualifications

Proven work experience as a Chef or Cook.

Responsibilities

To support the chef manager and the head chefs in the general running of the kitchen.
To ensure the kitchen meets high standards of quality.
To prepare the food for cooking.
To ensure that all food is of excellent quality and served in a timely manner.
To follow the budget set by the Chef Manager.
To ensure standard portions and quality of dishes.
To monitor food stock and place orders.
To check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items.
To experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients.
To ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area.
