Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Lead Platform Architect (OpenShift) to own the architecture and evolution of large-scale OpenShift platforms in a hybrid Reading-area environment. This strategic role focuses on platform direction, security and resilience, rather than hands-on coding.

The ideal candidate will have commercial OpenShift and enterprise Kubernetes experience, IaC (Terraform), CI/CD expertise, and a track record in large enterprises or regulated settings.

Qualifications

• Commercial OpenShift platform architecture experience.
• Enterprise Kubernetes platform architecture and lifecycle management.
• Designing, evolving and governing production container platforms.
• IaC with Terraform, and CI/CD automation.
• Hybrid cloud and on-premise platform environments.
• High availability, resilience, DR and platform security.
• Experience in large enterprise, managed services or regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture and evolution of OpenShift platforms.
• Define platform strategy and technical direction.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to evolve enterprise platforms.
• Ensure security, resilience and scalability of platforms.
