Job summary

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Cambridge is seeking an Oncology Drug Development Specialist Research Nurse (Band 7) to lead the Cambridge Cancer Drug Development Team in phase 1 trials. You will provide specialist clinical and research expertise, ensure GCP-compliant delivery, and mentor a team of nurses and trial staff.

Significant phase 1 oncology trial experience is essential, with a focus on education, governance, and collaborative care within a large teaching Trust

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse or Clinical Research Practitioner educated to Degree level.
• Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD).
• Teaching qualification and teaching/or training experience.
• Significant phase 1 oncology trial experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Cambridge Cancer Drug Development Team delivering phase 1 oncology trials in line with ICH-GCP.
• Provide specialist advice and support to the team and wider trial centre.
• Coordinate integrated research delivery with the multidisciplinary team.
