Job summary

HIERON London is seeking a capable Foreman to lead on-site teams for high-end residential and commercial projects across Central London. You will turn the Site Manager’s programme into a clear, safe and on-time plan, directing trades and apprentices, while maintaining high-quality finishes on sensitive historic fabric.

The role requires extensive foreman experience on complex builds, a trade background, and strong health & safety credentials.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a Foreman on high-end residential and commercial projects.
• Experience working for a Main Contractor on complex builds.
• Trade background in carpentry, bricklaying, finishing, or multi-trade environments.
• Proven track record on Grade I/II listed buildings and historic fabric.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of operatives and trades, allocating tasks and setting the pace of work.
• Plan daily and weekly activities against the programme set by the Site Manager.
• Coordinate sequencing of trades and manage materials, plant and equipment.
• Work from drawings, specifications and method statements; ensure understanding before work.
• Enforce health and safety on site; deliver toolbox talks and daily checks.
• Help prepare RAMS and COSHH assessments; verify permits to work.
• Mentor and develop operatives and apprentices on site.
• Check workmanship and protect listed/ historic fabric; manage site records.
• Keep daily labour/progress records and report to Site Manager.
• Set high standards for behaviour and site housekeeping; liaise with clients.
