Job summary

SSE Renewables is seeking a Project Engineering Manager to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams in offshore wind projects across the UK and Ireland, delivering safe, high-quality design and technical direction.

You will shape engineering strategy, drive delivery plans and resource strategies, and influence major project decisions while developing engineers and delivering assets that power a net-zero future.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering activities on offshore wind projects or large-scale infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of engineering design development, technical assurance and risk management.
• Ability to understand technical and commercial implications of engineering decisions.
• Proven experience guiding multidisciplinary teams within complex project environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver offshore wind projects safely and efficiently.
• Drive engineering design development to meet objectives and programme requirements.
• Provide engineering assurance and technical leadership for major project decisions.
• Collaborate with specialist teams to ensure adequate capability and resources.
• Develop delivery plans, schedules and resource strategies to hit milestones.
