Job summary

Taylor Hopkinson is seeking an experienced professional to oversee contractor cable system designs and installation methodologies aligned with Employer Requirements. You will coordinate tenders, manage clarifications, and lead technical and commercial evaluations for submarine cable projects.

Role involves preparing specifications and attending contractor meetings through concept refinement, FEED, and execution phases, requiring extensive offshore experience and strong SHEQ compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Review of contractor cable system designs and installation methodologies with respect to the Employer's Requirements.
• Coordinate all aspects of the tendering phase including managing and responding to clarifications from the project and contractors.
• Ensure cross-package interfacing; manage cables inputs and outputs efficiently.
• Prepare technical documentation and specifications for internal or contractor's use.
• Participate in meetings with contractor's representatives at all stages of concept refinement and FEED phases.
• Demonstrate 10+ years' relevant experience; experience with submarine cable systems, installation, testing, and commercial evaluation.
• Experience in subsea cable laying, burial campaigns, embedment, vessel operations, and diving procedures.
• Proficient in SHEQ standards for terrestrial and offshore projects, including CDMC/IMO/IMCA requirements.

Work with other package teams and ensure cross package interfacing, cables inputs and outputs are managed efficiently. Preparation of technical documentation and specifications for internal or contractor's use. Participation in meetings with contractor's representatives at all stages of the concept refinement and FEED phases of the project to ensure compliance with Essential Minimum of 10 years' relevant experience; Experience with cable installation and testing; Experience in technical and commercial evaluation of submarine cable systems. Experienced in contract preparation and evaluation for vessels and subsea operations. Experience in subsea cable laying and burial campaigns, cable embedment, submersible vehicle operations, vessel positioning and commercial diving procedures. Submarine cable design, and development of specifications and employers' requirements; Proficient in SHEQ standards for terrestrial and offshore projects, including familiarity with CDMC/ IMO/ IMCA requirements/ recommendations. Experience in managing and delivering complex projects; Experience in negotiating agreements and contracts of significant value
