Swansea Bay University Health Board is seeking a dynamic Sonographer to lead the Obstetric Ultrasound service across Singleton and Neath Port Talbot sites. The role focuses on delivering a safe, accurate diagnostic service, maintaining dignity and privacy for patients, and coordinating with Radiology leadership to uphold best practices.

The post requires a graduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound (PgC, PgD, MSc) and current professional registration (HCPC/NMC) with FMF Nuchal accreditation.

Qualifications

• Graduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound (PgC, PgD, MSc).
• Current HCPC/NMC registration.
• FMF Nuchal accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Obstetric ultrasound service across Singleton and Neath Port Talbot sites.
• Oversee day-to-day management of the ultrasound service and ensure cost‑effective delivery.
• Work with Radiology Manager and Clinical Director to implement guidelines and best practices.
• Coordinate strategies to maintain consistent, high‑quality obstetric imaging across SBUHB.
• Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines and local, regional, and national service frameworks.
• Support development of leadership and clinical skills within the team.
