Job summary

Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro is inviting applications for a Consultant Anaesthetist with expertise in obstetric anaesthesia to join a broad team across multiple sites. The post involves managing high-risk obstetric cases and contributing to a strong audit and governance framework.

The successful candidate will hold FRCA or equivalent and GMC registration, with advanced obstetric training. They will bring leadership skills, governance experience, and a commitment to high-quality patient care

Qualifications

• Experience at Advanced Obstetric level.
• Wider skills in audit and governance, and management and leadership would be desirable.
• GMC Registration with a licence to practice.
• On GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of interview date.
• Obstetric Anaesthesia at Advanced level.
• Completed Higher Training Obstetric Anaesthesia.
• Experience in clinical audit and governance.
• Emergency CEPOD and trauma experience.
• Paediatric Anaesthesia in accordance with Royal College expectations.
