CiViConsulting is helping a South London nursery to appoint a Room Leader who can shape how the room runs and drive standards. You will lead a team, set the standard of practice and actively contribute to the nursery's future direction.

You will have real decision-making power, a voice in curriculum delivery, and a commitment to safeguarding, learning, and staff development in a thriving Early Years environment.

Formación

• Must have Level 3 Early Years qualification or above.
• Genuine experience leading a room or team in an Early Years setting.
• Strong working knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding and Ofsted expectations.
• Track record of coaching and developing others and raising standards.
• Confident communicator with parents, colleagues and managers.
• Paediatric First Aid certificate, or willingness to obtain.
• Enhanced DBS check, or willingness to complete one.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, motivate and organise the room team day to day, including rotas, deployment and ratios.
• Coach and develop practitioners through modelling, regular supervisions and constructive feedback.
• Support onboarding of new starters and apprentices and identify training needs.
• Build a positive, accountable team culture that reflects the nursery's new direction.
• Deputise for senior leaders when required.
• Plan and deliver a high-quality, child-led curriculum in line with the EYFS.
• Oversee observations, assessments and learning journals so every child's progress is tracked.
• Make sure the room environment is stimulating, well-resourced and inclusive.
• Support key persons to identify and act on additional needs, working with the SENCo.
• Monitor quality in the room and contribute to the nursery's improvement plan.
• Carry out safeguarding and health & safety procedures and keep records up to date.
• Work with parents to update progress and support transitions between rooms.
