Job summary

East Kent Colleges Group (EKC Folkestone Nursery) is seeking a Senior Nursery Practitioner to lead a base room, inspire colleagues and collaborate with the Nursery Leadership Team to deliver high-quality early years education in line with EYFS.

You will build strong partnerships with parents, champion children’s learning, wellbeing and safeguarding, and take ownership of specialist areas to continually improve the nursery provision.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification.
• Experience leading or supervising colleagues in a nursery.
• Strong understanding of EYFS, safeguarding and inclusive practice.
• Ability to create engaging environments for children to learn and thrive.
• Excellent communication to build positive relationships with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Lead your base room with a safe, stimulating environment.
• Support and inspire colleagues to promote outstanding practice.
• Work with the Nursery Leadership Team to deliver EYFS education.
• Build partnerships with parents and carers to give every child the best start.
• Champion learning, wellbeing and safeguarding for all children.
• Take ownership of a specialist area (SEND, partnerships, wellbeing or health and safety).
• Drive continuous improvement and uphold high standards of care.
