EKC Canterbury Nursery, part of EKC Group, is seeking a Senior Nursery Practitioner to lead a base room, blending hands-on care with leadership to help children, families and colleagues thrive.

Join a forward-thinking team and work with the Nursery Leadership Team to deliver education aligned with the EYFS, build strong partnerships with parents, champion safeguarding, and drive continuous improvement across the nursery.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Early Years qualification required.
• Experience leading or supervising colleagues in a nursery.
• Strong understanding of EYFS, safeguarding, and inclusive practice.
• Ability to create engaging, stimulating environments for children.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building with families.

Responsibilities

• Lead your base room, creating a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment.
• Support and inspire colleagues, promoting outstanding practice across the nursery.
• Work with Nursery Leadership Team to deliver exceptional care and education per EYFS.
• Build partnerships with parents and carers.
• Champion children's learning, development, wellbeing and safeguarding.
• Drive continuous improvement and maintain high standards of care.
• Take ownership of specialist areas such as SEND, parent partnership, wellbeing or health and safety.
