Job summary

The Old Station Nursery Group is seeking a Senior Nursery Practitioner for Little Green Rascals Elvington in York. You will lead and inspire the team, ensuring exceptional care and education while supporting the Nursery Manager and maintaining EYFS quality.

You will foster strong relationships with families, implement best practices, and help run the nursery in the Manager's absence. DBS checks and right to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 3 Early Years qualification or QTS.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the team to deliver high‑quality early years education.
• Support the Nursery Manager to ensure smooth operations and quality.
• Promote initiative, creativity and high standards of care.
• Build strong relationships with families and external agencies.
• Oversee EYFS implementation and learning opportunities.
• Act in the Manager's absence to run nursery operations.
• Support professional development and continuous improvement.
