Job summary

Highwood Care Home is a brand new, purpose-built facility in Bideford offering Residential, Dementia, Nursing and Respite care for up to 67 residents. We seek a Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) to lead shifts, administer medications and develop care plans with a person-centred approach.

You will join a professional team and be supported with ongoing training, funded development, and clear progression into Senior, Clinical Lead and Management roles. Alternate weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with an active NMC PIN.
• Strong clinical judgement and decision making skills.
• Confidence in leading shifts and supporting a team.
• Good communication and leadership skills.
• Experience in a care home setting is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality, clinically led care.
• Assess needs, develop and review care plans; administer medication.
• Monitor health changes and respond promptly to changing needs.
• Lead shifts and support the care team to maintain standards.
• Ensure accurate documentation and maintain dignity, independence and wellbeing.
