You will work collaboratively with Merseycare Mental Health Team, Change Grow Live (recovery staff), and HMPPS staff to ensure the best possible care is provided to the patients.

Please note, the £1500 Welcome Payment is payable to new staff joining Spectrum only.

Main duties of the job

As a Lead Nurse, your role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities and leadership such as:

1. Shift coordination – overseeing staffing levels and production of rotas.
2. Participating in audits
3. Management of junior members of staff
4. Supporting multi-disciplinary teams such as:
1. Diabetic retinopathy screening
2. AAA screening
3. Ultrasounds and X-Rays
5. Medication rounds and dispensing
6. Emergency response situations
7. Nurse-led clinics, such as:
1. NHS Health Checks
2. Immunisations and Vaccinations
3. NHS Bowel Screening
4. Wound and Tissue Viability assessments.
8. Assessing new patients who have just arrived at the establishment for the first time.
9. Complete clinical assessments
10. Triaging the acutely unwell patients

Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse Level 1
• Evidence of ongoing CPD and delivery of evidence-based care
• Independent Nurse /Supplementary/ Non-Medical Prescriber qualification or willingness to undertake
• Appropriate management qualification or equivalent experience
• RCGP Cert 1/2 Primary Care/LTC qualification

Experience

• Significant experience of working in a complex environment with multidisciplinary professionals demonstrating effective communication and leadership skills
• Be able to demonstrate experience of clinical governance used to improve patient care
• Experience of working as an autonomous practitioner
• Experience of leading a team and effectively using policy and procedures to improve clinical and professional standards
