You will collaborate with Merseycare Mental Health Team, Change Grow Live (recovery staff), and HMPPS staff to ensure the best possible care for patients.

Please note, the £1500 Welcome Payment is payable to new staff joining Spectrum only.

Main duties of the job

As a Lead Nurse, your responsibilities include:

  1. Shift coordination - overseeing staffing levels and rotas.
  2. Participating in audits.
  3. Managing junior staff members.
  4. Supporting multidisciplinary teams such as:
  • Diabetic retinopathy screening
  • AAA screening
  • Ultrasounds and X-Rays
  • Medication rounds and dispensing.
  • Handling emergency response situations.
  • Conducting patient assessments.
  • Leading nurse-led clinics, including:
    • NHS Health Checks
    • Immunisations and Vaccinations
    • NHS Bowel Screening
    • Phlebotomy clinics
    • Wound and Tissue Viability assessments
  • Assessing new patients upon arrival.
  • Completing clinical assessments.
  • Triaging acutely unwell patients.

    Person Specification

    Qualifications (Essential):

    • Registered General Nurse Level 1
    • Evidence of ongoing CPD and evidence-based care delivery
    • Independent Nurse / Supplementary / Non-Medical Prescriber qualification or willingness to undertake
    • Management qualification or equivalent experience

    Qualifications (Desirable):

    • RCGP Cert 1/2 Primary Care/LTC qualification

    Experience (Essential):
