Job summary

Spectrum Community Health CIC is seeking a Lead Nurse to head a clinical pathway within prison integrated healthcare at HMP Liverpool. The role combines direct patient care with clinical supervision and autonomous practice, including weekly shift coordination as the first escalation point.

Applicants should be a Registered General Nurse with ongoing CPD, and either hold or be willing to pursue an independent prescriber qualification, plus a management qualification or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Evidence of ongoing CPD and delivery of evidence-based care.
• Prescriber qualification or willingness to undertake one.
• Management qualification or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a designated clinical pathway and assure quality of care.
• Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to nurses and support workers.
• Deliver direct clinical care and handle complex cases.
• Act as shift coordinator once a week, the first point of escalation across pathways.
• Plan service delivery and respond to pressures with a solution-focused approach.
• Work closely with prison colleagues and partner agencies to improve integrated care.
