Hamilton Barnes is seeking a Senior/Lead Network Engineer for a fast-growing global proprietary trading firm. You will own the day-to-day operation of the network and provide technical leadership to a small, globally dispersed team.

The role emphasizes hands-on work, mentoring junior engineers, and coordinating with data centres, colocation, and exchange feeds. Arista technologies will be central, with focus on monitoring and on-call processes.

Qualifications

• Hands-on network engineering experience in trading/latency-sensitive environments.
• Strong multicast networking expertise.
• Experience with Arista networking technologies.
• Experience managing global production networks.
• Previous technical leadership or mentoring experience.
• Ability to own a network function while staying hands-on.
• Excellent troubleshooting across complex production environments.
• Experience with data centre and colocation infrastructure.
• Comfortable in a small, remote, highly autonomous team.

Responsabilités

• Own day-to-day operation of the firm's global network infrastructure.
• Provide technical leadership to a distributed network engineering team.
• Mentor and develop junior network engineers.
• Manage and troubleshoot multicast connectivity for trading environments.
• Work with Arista technologies across global networks.
• Support internal network infrastructure across offices, data centres and colocation.
• Lead network projects from design to implementation.
• Support onboarding of new exchange feeds and connectivity.
• Improve monitoring, operational processes, and on-call procedures.
• Report network performance, risks, and issues to Head of IT Infrastructure.
