Job summary

Technical Network seeks an experienced Senior NDT Engineer or Inspector to lead on-site NDT activities at our Sheffield facility, acting as the subject matter expert for UT and MPT disciplines and ensuring product integrity across processes.

You will establish methods, train staff, and ensure compliance within a highly regulated environment, supporting export-driven operations and continual improvement in inspection practices.

Qualifications

• Essential knowledge: NDT Level 3 in UT and/or MPT; other NDT techniques desirable.
• Engineering degree or relevant apprenticeship with substantial experience.
• Understanding of metallic components and manufacturing processes (forging, welding, heat treatment).
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Structured problem-solving abilities in manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Establish and approve NDT methods and procedures in line with requirements.
• Manage qualification and ongoing approval of NDT team and training plans.
• Liaise with Level 3 and training partners and service providers.
• Support daily operations with guidance on defects and corrective actions with MRB engineers.
