Job summary

gap technical is looking for a fully qualified Multiskilled Engineer to join their team in Northwich. This role involves ensuring effective engineering support across a 24/7 manufacturing site and prioritising the activities of the engineering shift teams.

The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience, be apprenticeship trained, and possess a BTEC ONC/Level 3 qualification. This is a great opportunity for someone with FMCG experience, preferably within the food industry.

Salary

£58,000 + Overtime

What you will contribute

• To ensure delivery of the Engineering support to the Northwich site across 24/7 enabling the Engineering team to provide the required levels of service in support of the manufacturing strategy.
• To ensure the safe, effective and efficient running of the department is maintained through the engineering shift teams.
• To ensure daily workloads are prioritised and delivered in compliance to site policies and procedures.
• Co-ordinate and prioritise the activities of a shift engineering team in providing support to the operations team.
• Operate as senior engineering point of contact for Shift Managers.
• Support Short Interval Control, and daily endo of shift review meetings with Shift Managers.
• Participate in Improvement Groups e.g. wastage reduction.
• Complete a clear and comprehensive handover to incoming shift engineering team.

What you will bring

• A fully qualified Multiskilled Engineer with at least 5 years experience
• Apprenticeship trained
• Minimum BTEC ONC/ Level 3 Qualified
• Must be electrically qualified with certification
• Experienced in leading a team
• An excellent communicator with the ability to coach and support others
• FMCG experienced, preferably food industry
• Comfortable working both in a team and alone
