Job summary

MEL Environmental Solutions is seeking a General Builder to join our Preston team. You will lead on-site teams and manage projects through multiple trades, ensuring high standards and safety. You’ll work across insurance and environmental restoration projects, traveling to sites, operating machinery, and performing tasks from bricklaying to concreting.

Qualifications

• A construction professional with multi-skilled experience and ability to lead teams.
• Strong organisational and planning skills for day-to-day site activities.
• A clean driving license and willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate on-site teams to deliver projects efficiently.
• Apply multi-skilled construction techniques from bricklaying to underpinning and drainage.
• Operate site machinery and handle concrete mixing, demolition and restoration.
• Work with project managers and travel to various sites as required.
• Ensure safety with PPE and HAVS controls on all tasks.
