Job summary

Monzo is building an autonomous, human-in-the-loop ML system to transform customer support. You will lead the design and deployment of ML models including LLMs, RAG, and sequence-based architectures, and partner with a cross-functional squad to deliver high-impact solutions in production.

The role focuses on real-world customer issues, rapid iteration with the MLOps team, and mentoring others while driving technical excellence across the Machine Learning discipline.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of developing and deploying advanced machine learning models to tackle business problems.
• Experience shipping deep learning, graph-based, or sequence-based ML architectures to production with measurable impact.
• Strong Python and SQL skills; Go language experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of ML-based solutions within the Customer Operations team.
• Provide technical leadership and raise standards across the ML discipline.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers and designers in an agile environment to deliver impactful models.
