Job summary

The Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Midwife to provide holistic, woman/baby-centered midwifery care. Responsibilities

• Provide direct midwifery care to women and babies during routine care and emergencies, ensuring up-to-date guidance for families.
• Lead and mentor ward/department teams on a shift-by-shift basis, promoting patient safety and evidence-based practice.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to ensure seamless maternity care.
• Supervise, teach, and mentor midwifery students, contributing to clinical education and supervision.
• Develop links with care agencies to facilitate seamless maternity care delivery.
• Promote health and wellbeing for women, families, and staff and support safeguarding practices.
