Job summary

GSK Ware Pharma Supply Chain is seeking a Lead Microbiologist to perform sample analysis and support process or environmental monitoring. You will lead data preparation, verify results, and drive batch/job testing and release, while mentoring the microbiology team and maintaining GMP standards.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, accurate data handling, and adherence to safety and regulatory requirements within a high-quality lab environment at Ware manufacturing site.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in GMP environments with laboratory testing expertise.
• Knowledge of microbiology testing methodologies and cGMP compliance.
• Experience leading batch/job approval processes and mentoring others.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and check data according to requirements.
• Verify results against acceptance criteria.
• Lead batch/job approval processes.
• Manage Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Oversee laboratory equipment and 5S standards as an expert user.
• Provide training for new staff and microbiologists.
• Ensure laboratory safety.
• Perform testing using aseptic techniques.
