Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in microbiology or life sciences.
• Practical lab experience with basic microbiology methods.
• Familiarity with environmental monitoring and water testing.
• Good written and verbal communication for reporting results.
• Ability to plan and prioritise workload to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Carry out environmental monitoring and water sampling for the non-sterile pilot plant.
• Perform microbial identifications using Gram stain, biochemical tests and MALDI-TOF.
• Perform growth promotion testing and maintain culture stocks.
• Record results accurately and raise out-of-spec results promptly.
• Support investigations into atypical results and corrective actions.
• Maintain lab equipment, stock control and safe working practices.
