Salary: From £40,000 - £48,000 (inclusive of shift allowance), dependent on experience

Performance Bonus: Company bonus based on performance

Welcome Bonus: £2,000

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off pattern (2 days, 2 nights, 4 off), 12-hour shifts

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Mars Wrigley factory in Slough. We seek mechanically-minded individuals passionate about maintenance, with experience in maintaining ships, cars, tanks, lifts, generators, or similar mechanical industries.

Your role: As a Lead Mechanical Operator, you will perform and lead first-line maintenance of production machines, make operational decisions at the line level to meet targets, and coordinate a team of Operators as needed.

What we're looking for:

• A mechanical tinkering mindset, always seeking to improve machinery
• Hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance from various environments
• Ability to disassemble, fault find, and reassemble machinery
• Minimum 1 year of experience managing and coordinating operators
• Ideally, an NVQ or apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering (not mandatory)
• GCSE level education

Key responsibilities:

• Identify and repair mechanical breakdowns on machinery
• Accountable for the performance of machines and equipment
• Coordinate a small team of operators and temporary staff to achieve line targets
• Assist operators with daily production tasks to meet targets
